Oxytocin
Oxytocin is a naturally occurring nonapeptide hormone composed of nine amino acids. It is produced primarily in the hypothalamus and released through the posterior pituitary, where it plays a well-established role in reproductive physiology, including uterine contraction and milk-ejection signaling. Oxytocin and vasopressin are closely related posterior pituitary peptides and differ by only two amino acids
